Drayton Street Fair will be celebrating its 19th consecutive year on Saturday, 30th August 2014, between 11:00 am and 4:00 pm. Parking is free and there is a 50p entry charge. As well as the usual favourites there will be new things to see and do this year.
The main focus for this year’s charitable endeavours is to raise funds for the Macmillan Cancer Support and of course to support Village Projects including essential repairs to the Village Hall.
The BBC Radio Somerset Bus will be attending again this year and is planning a live broadcast during the day!
There will be a wide range of family entertainment including Punch & Judy, a bouncy castle, local craft and produce stalls, a display of classic cars, and music from the Kingsbury Brass Band and the Irish Folk Band; Diaspora.
The Grand Prize Draw’s first prize will be £100 cash (plus many more fantastic prizes) and of course our large and popular Tombola has hundreds of prizes for adults and children alike.
Last but not least, to tempt your appetite, there will be a hog roast, bacon rolls, ice creams, and Pimms together with refreshments in the Village Hall Cafe, Drayton Plant Nurseries and at the Drayton Arms Pub. So please come along and join us for a guaranteed day of fun for all ages.
